BBC London 94.9 link & our Actors Rechoired concert

Last weekend was a lot of fun. Saturday morning, as part of The Actors Rechoired group I am in we had an interview and then sang a song live on BBC London 94.9. It is always fun to do live radio and Jo Good and Simon Lederman were really great interviewers.

The song starts 02.19.20  (so 2 hrs and 19 minutes in)  to 2.22.05  although the interview with the MD and choir starter starts at 2 hrs and 12 minutes in

I then went off to see Bakersfield Mist with the wondrous Kathleen Turner in at the Duchess Theatre, a funny play made brilliant by her star turn.

Also the actual concert Perfect Pitch was a lot of fun. Lots of great songs and I did a solo of ‘At Last’ as a football fan watching the game all the way to penalty shootout and losing 😉 I encouraged the audience to go with me and was nearly deafened by the screams I got when I sang

‘Gerard scores, Rooney scores’ in the place of ‘you smile, you smile’

I do love a live audience I can use my decade plus of comedy compere and cabaret skills on, it is so wonderful to get an audience involved. I love film work but it is a different joy! I am looking forward to my workshoping my next bit of my new solo theatre work on July 8th
